Lab-grown diamonds vs. natural diamonds

What are lab-grown diamonds?

Origin

As the name suggests, lab-grown diamonds are created in a laboratory. This process mimics the natural growth process of a diamond, rather than extracting them from mines.

Quality and appearance

  • Lab-grown diamonds and natural diamonds have an identical chemical composition (carbon)

  • The same hardness (10 on the Mohs scale)

  • Look visually identical, even to experts.

  • Lab-grown diamonds typically have fewer imperfections

Certification

Both natural and lab-grown diamonds (0.5 carats and up) come with a reliable certificate from leading organizations such as GIA, HRD Antwerp, and IGI, which guarantee their quality and authenticity .

Why do we choose to work exclusively with lab-grown diamonds?

Sustainability and ethics

To avoid large-scale mining and thus minimize the overall environmental impact. Lab-grown diamonds also offer a transparent and conflict-free origin.

Modern and innovative

They are manufactured using innovative, high-tech methods, a philosophy that aligns perfectly with our modern approach to design and craftsmanship.

High quality, for every budget

In the lab, conditions can be precisely controlled, which often results in fewer imperfections and consistently high quality. This means that , for the same budget, you can typically get a larger, higher-quality diamond compared to a natural diamond.
